How I could not find a good digital marketing consultant in Delhi for my consulting business. Failures that taught me!


I am just sharing an experience with you on what not to do while hiring a digital marketing consultant. I was trying to hire a digital marketing consultant in Delhi for a consulting business which I am running for the last 12 years and it was very difficult for me to generate leads. I was always in the fix of generating leads and the execution of existing projects. And I could not concentrate completely on generating leads neither could I concentrate completely on perfecting my product so that I can deliver to my clients well. This in turn could generate better leads, given if I can execute projects better, I could get a lot of reference projects!

It's not that I didn't try a lot of marketing activities to generate leads. I tried content marketing as well as I tried Google AdWords.

I tried PPC advertisement, inorganic advertisement, search engine optimisation, offline events and what not. And not just that I also join a lot of networking organisations and events but nothing was coming to my rescue for generating a consistent lead pipeline.

However I was always in a fix about what exactly was going wrong? where was the problem?

I was trying a lot of external help as well. I tried to hire a top shot agency also but it didn't work. Then I get some in house hiring as well still because I lacked the knowledge on how to drive them in order to generate leads for the business so it didn’t work as well. Then eventually I also tried 3 or 4 digital marketing companies, small time companies and then eventually a consultant as well but nothing was helping. The problem was that I was not shortlisting the right digital marketing solution company or consultant. For some companies which my business was not mature and there was a certain company they were not mature for my business.
